About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Sahara Courtyard Inn (1995) Ltd. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a team of housekeeping staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional service.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Inspect and Maintain Facilities: Conduct regular inspections of hotel rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities to ensure they meet our high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Prepare Budgets and Cost Estimates: Develop and manage budgets for housekeeping supplies, equipment, and services to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Recommend Additional Services: Identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience and recommend additional services such as painting, repair work, or replacement of furnishings and equipment.
  • Assist Cleaners: Provide support and guidance to housekeeping staff to ensure they have the resources and expertise needed to perform their duties.
  • Coordinate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments, such as front desk, food and beverage, and maintenance, to ensure seamless operations and excellent guest service.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels and efficient use of resources.
Requirements
  • Leadership and Supervision: Proven ability to lead and supervise a team of housekeeping staff.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with staff, guests, and other departments.
  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Ability to think critically and adapt to changing situations and priorities.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail to ensure exceptional cleanliness and quality standards.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform other physically demanding tasks.
