Director of Product Operations

We are seeking an experienced Director of Product Operations to join our team at Guidepoint. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless strategic planning and agile delivery of product and engineering initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Streamline and standardize product release and agile delivery processes in partnership with Product and Engineering teams.
- Partner with Product, UX, and Engineering leaders to oversee and continuously improve business rhythms, including weekly and quarterly business reviews, quarterly planning, and metrics reviews.
- Act as PMO for large, cross-team strategic initiatives, optimizing dependencies, clearing blockers, communicating and managing stakeholder expectations.
- Improve communication across and between product, engineering, and key stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity of roles and responsibilities.
- Manage and develop tools and best practices that support product design and development activities.
- Liaise with Finance on budget tracking, vendor invoices, and contractor management.
- Liaise with HR for goal-setting and tracking outcomes with measurable results.
- Recommend and develop training programs and materials to onboard new tech team members and communicate best practices.
- 8+ years of experience in Product and/or Engineering Operations, with at least 3 years in a people leadership role.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience being the direct owner and driver of product planning, tracking, and agile delivery processes.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent leadership and persuasion skills and the ability to lead without direct authority.
- Deep understanding of the needs of different stakeholders in a Prod/Eng/IT organization, from executive leadership to ICs.
- Proven track record of measurable process improvement and operational efficiency.
- Proven track record of identifying and mitigating operational risks that may impact product delivery timelines and quality.
- Radical simplification and go-getter mindset.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret data and insights to inform strategies.
- Proven ability to facilitate strategic prioritization and bridge between strategy and execution.
- A customer-centric approach, with a focus on delivering exceptional value and experience through product offerings.
- Track record of making difficult decisions and tradeoffs in the face of ambiguity and incomplete data.
