About the Role

Guidepoint is seeking an experienced Director of Product Operations to join our Toronto Technology Hub. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving the strategic planning and agile delivery of product and engineering initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Streamline and standardize product release and agile delivery processes in partnership with Product and Engineering teams.
  • Partner with Product, UX, and Engineering leaders to oversee and continuously improve business rhythms, including weekly and quarterly business reviews, quarterly planning, and metrics reviews.
  • Act as PMO for large, cross-team strategic initiatives, optimizing dependencies, clearing blockers, and communicating stakeholder expectations.
  • Improve communication across and between product, engineering, and key stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity of roles and responsibilities.
  • Manage and develop tools and best practices that support product design and development activities.
  • Liaise with Finance on budget tracking, vendor invoices, and contractor management.
  • Liaise with HR for goal-setting and tracking outcomes with measurable results.
  • Recommend and develop training programs and materials to onboard new tech team members and communicate best practices.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in Product and/or Engineering Operations, with at least 3 years in a people leadership role.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience driving product planning, tracking, and agile delivery processes.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership and persuasion skills, with the ability to lead without direct authority.
  • Deep understanding of stakeholder needs in a Prod/Eng/IT organization.
  • Proven track record of measurable process improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Proven ability to identify and mitigate operational risks that may impact product delivery timelines and quality.
  • Radical simplification and go-getter mindset.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret data and insights to inform strategies.
