About the Opportunity
We are seeking an exceptional leader to fill the role of Provincial Director, responsible for the planning, development, and improvement of trauma care delivery across the province. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare leadership, with a focus on strategy, planning, and quality management. This role requires the ability to work in partnership with various stakeholders, including Zone Leadership, the IWK Health Centre, Emergency Health Services, and the Department of Health and Wellness, to develop and execute strategic and operational plans that support excellence in trauma care, improve health outcomes, and achieve standards of care.
The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership with a focus on policy and planning, aligning with Nova Scotia Health's Mission, Vision, Values, and strategic priorities. This includes the development of goals and objectives, planning and development of policies, standards, and key performance indicators, maintenance and monitoring of quality management and safety programs, and compliance with relevant standards and accreditation requirements.
About You
We are looking for a candidate with a strong educational background in a health-related discipline, and a Master's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Additionally, we require a minimum of 7-10 years of relevant clinical leadership experience, with progressive accountabilities for strategy, planning, and quality management. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership, relationship-building, organizational, and decision-making skills, with the ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships and partnerships with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve trauma care delivery across the province
- Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve excellence in trauma care, improve health outcomes, and meet standards of care
- Provide strategic leadership, aligning with Nova Scotia Health's Mission, Vision, Values, and strategic priorities
- Develop and maintain quality management and safety programs, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and accreditation requirements

Competitive hourly rate, ranging from $53.91 to $67.39, with opportunities for growth and development within the organization.
