Position Scope

The Graduate Development Program (GDP) is a two-year structured learning and development program designed for new graduates who join our Engineering team. This program offers a unique opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting, gain hands-on experience, and build a strong foundation for a successful career.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop multi-discipline proficiency in chemical, mechanical, controls, industrial, and electrical engineering
  • Review technical reports and perform basic lab tests with supervision
  • Produce SIPOC diagrams for departmental operations and key physical locations
  • Participate in and lead Continuous Improvement projects
  • General electrical troubleshooting and equipment maintenance
  • Perform operational and cost studies
  • Assume area supervisor responsibilities
Essential Capabilities
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: Apply logical reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions
  • Communication: Effectively communicate information and ideas
  • Self-Starter: Strong sense of urgency and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Emotional Intelligence
  • Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills and oral/written communication skills
  • Interest in pursuing a career path as a leader in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to write clearly and accurately
Essential Education Requirements
  • B.S. or M.S. in Chemical Engineering from an accredited college/university
  • 0-2 years of professional work experience (including internships and co-ops)
  • Validated leadership experience through extra-curricular activities, employment, and/or internship experiences
