Position Scope

The Graduate Development Program is a two-year structured learning and development program designed for new graduates who are interested in pursuing a career in chemical engineering. As a Graduate Development Program Chemical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects, gain hands-on experience, and develop your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop multi-discipline proficiency in chemical, mechanical, controls, industrial, and electrical engineering
  • Review technical reports and perform basic lab tests with supervision
  • Produce SIPOC diagrams for departmental operations and key physical locations
  • Participate in and lead Continuous Improvement projects
  • General electrical troubleshooting and equipment maintenance
  • Perform Operational and Cost Studies
  • Assist in tasks as an Area Supervisor
Essential Capabilities
  • Time Management: Ability to manage and monitor multiple projects to completion
  • Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: Use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions
  • Communication: Effective and clear communication of information and ideas
  • Self-Starter: Strong sense of urgency and deadline-oriented
  • Emotional Intelligence
  • Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills and oral/written communication skills
  • Interest in pursuing a career path as a leader in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to write clearly and accurately
Essential Education Requirements
  • B.S. or M.S. in Chemical Engineering from an accredited college/university
  • 0-2 years of professional work experience (including internships and co-ops)
  • Validated leadership experience through extra-curricular activities, employment, and/or internship experiences preferred
