Join Our Team as a Graduate Chemical Engineer

Redpath Sugar Ltd. is a leading manufacturer of sugar products, and we are seeking a talented Graduate Chemical Engineer to join our team. As a Graduate Chemical Engineer, you will be part of our Graduate Development Program, a two-year structured learning and development program designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the field of chemical engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop multi-discipline proficiency in chemical, mechanical, controls, industrial, and electrical engineering
  • Review technical reports and perform basic lab tests with supervision
  • Produce SIPOC diagrams for departmental operations and key physical locations
  • Participate in and lead Continuous Improvement projects
  • General electrical troubleshooting and equipment maintenance
  • Perform Operational and Cost Studies
  • Assist in tasks as an Area Supervisor
Essential Capabilities:
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: Use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions
  • Communication: Effective and clear communication of information and ideas
  • Self-Starter: Strong sense of urgency and deadline-oriented

  • Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills and oral/written communication skills
  • Interest in pursuing a career path as a leader in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to write clearly and accurately
Education Requirements:
  • B.S. or M.S. in Chemical Engineering from an accredited college/university
  • 0-2 years of professional work experience (including internships and co-ops)
  • Validated leadership experience through extra-curricular activities, employment, and/or internship experiences preferred
