Business Development Sales Lead Role

The Business Development Sales Lead will drive growth in the wholesale channel by working closely with accounts and local synergy teams. This role focuses on top-line growth and sales goals by increasing EL360 compliance and signing new customer contracts with EL360. Additionally, the Business Development Sales Lead will support Vision Source customers with EL360 and Diamond Plus accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Works closely with sales synergy teams to achieve sales growth and financial targets through strong relationships and service levels with EL360, Vision Source doors with EL360, and Diamond Plus doors.
  • Performs quarterly business reviews with all EL360 (including Vision Source) and Diamond Plus accounts to ensure compliance with program parameters and identify sales opportunities to grow business.
  • Supports Diamond Plus accounts in achieving full portfolio growth milestones to earn eligibility perks of the EssilorLuxottica loyalty rewards program.
  • Works with local sales teams to pass leads and close the loop on any sales opportunity identified during quarterly business reviews to ensure priorities coming out of the meetings are activated.
  • Generates leads by enrolling new doors onto the EL360 contract on an ongoing basis.
  • Operates as a lead point of contact for any matters specific to EL360 within local synergy.
  • Meets regularly with local sales teams to brainstorm new opportunities, align on priorities, and exchange information for collaboration.
  • Ensures timely and successful delivery of solutions for existing EL360 and Diamond Plus accounts.
  • Uses competitive knowledge of the independent channel of trade to recommend opportunities to gain market share.
  • Attends local and national events that may be evening-based or on weekends.
  • Significant travel required within assigned regions up to 80% of the time (can include overnights).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, specialty in Sales/Business Management or similar (preferred).
  • +7 years of experience working in an account management function or similar role in the optical industry.
  • Strong analytical ability and experience providing formal business reviews with accounts.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact and negotiate effectively at all levels of the organization and with customers.
  • Strong initiative and sense of urgency.
  • Ability to quickly generate and initiate creative solutions to problems as they arise.
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong computer skills; Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
