About the Role:

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health - CAMH is seeking a Casual Scientific Associate to support a project optimizing mental health for youth across Canada. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field, with solid grounding in learning health system strategies and experience in implementation research in community mental health settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support end of grant activities for a Health Canada funded project and start-up activities for a CIHR funded expansion project.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including people with lived experience.
  • Develop and execute research projects, with a proven track record of peer-reviewed publications.
  • Manage complex projects, with experience working with large, interdisciplinary teams.

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Solid grounding in learning health system strategies.
  • Experience in implementation research in community mental health settings.
  • Advanced understanding of issues facing at-risk youth when accessing services for employment, education, training, and mental health and substance use concerns.
  • Proven track record of research project development and execution.
  • Peer-reviewed publications.
  • Experience working with large, interdisciplinary teams and managing complex projects.
  • Direct experience working with qualitative data in Nvivo or an equivalent software package.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications and SPSS.
  • Superior interpersonal and organizational skills, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead and work effectively within an interdisciplinary team and interact comfortably with diverse community partners.
