Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Research Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will work on designing, developing, and analyzing novel quantum algorithms for near-term and fault-tolerant quantum computers in quantum chemistry, partial differential equations, Hamiltonian simulation, and quantum linear algebra problems.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in conducting research or technical activities dealing with the theory of computation, classical and quantum computational complexity, and advanced quantum algorithmic techniques.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be considered for this position, candidates must have:
- A Ph.D. in Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a specialization in quantum computing and a focus on quantum algorithms.
- Postdoctoral experience in quantum computing with demonstrated academic and research excellence.
- Leading experience in designing and analyzing novel quantum algorithms for near-term and fault-tolerant quantum computers.
- Evidence of experience with organizing scientific workshops/conferences or seminars in closely related topics.
- Extensive mathematical skills and mastery in the theory of wavelets and multi-resolution analysis for quantum chemistry or scientific computation.
- Evidence of collaboration with a cross-functional team to analyze and optimize quantum algorithms.
- Proven experience in writing research proposals; obtaining external grants; and mentoring graduate and/or undergraduate students.
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary, ranging from $52,574 to $98,576 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, pension plan, and access to professional development opportunities.
Estimated Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per annum-
