Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodial Services Assistant to join our team at Ontario Inc. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our office building and school/educational institution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs to ensure a safe and clean environment.
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse.
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers, and wash windows, interior walls and ceilings.
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment.
  • Perform safety and security checks to ensure the well-being of our staff and students.
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to maintain a hygienic environment.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate or diploma required; we will provide training.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Flexibility to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Dependability, initiative, and judgement are essential for this role.
Work Environment

Our office building and school/educational institution are located in a busy area, and you will be required to work in all weather conditions. You will be expected to work 40 hours per week, with a permanent work term.

The primary language of work is English.
