Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented School Custodian to join our team at Ontario Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, and clean hallways, floors, and stairs
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and dirt
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers
  • Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance
  • Perform safety and security checks
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. The work site environment includes all weather conditions, and the work setting is primarily in an office building and school or educational institution.

Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Will train on the job
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Dependability, flexibility, and initiative
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities

The successful candidate will be required to perform repetitive tasks, bend, crouch, and kneel. The weight handling requirement is up to 9 kg (20 lbs).

Personal Suitability

The successful candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, dependability, flexibility, and initiative. The work term is permanent, and the work language is English. The hours of work are 40 hours per week.
