We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Major Gifts and Planned Giving to join our team at Rogers Communications. As a key member of our Philanthropy team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to secure major gifts and planned giving from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and manage a portfolio of major gift donors and prospects, with a focus on securing gifts of $100,000+.
- Collaborate with the Director, Philanthropy to develop and implement a comprehensive planned giving strategy, including the development of marketing materials and stewardship programs.
- Work closely with the Philanthropy team to identify, cultivate, and solicit donors, and to develop and implement strategies to increase donor engagement and retention.
- Provide coaching and support to the Manager, Philanthropy on planned giving tactics and strategies, and mentor Philanthropy team members on donor engagement and stewardship.
- Assist in the development and implementation of organizational priority campaigns and initiatives, and provide support to other members of the Philanthropy team as needed.
- Seven (7+) years of relevant work experience in fundraising in the not-for-profit sector, with a proven track record of closing gifts at the $100k+ level.
- Strong experience in strategy development, implementation, and evaluation, and budget management.
- Ability to translate complex concepts and structures into simple, plain English language both in writing and speech.
- Exceptional relationship building skills with donors and cross-functionally.
- Strong experience working with cross-functional teams, multiple stakeholders, and a cross-section of people from executive corporate leaders to custodians.
- Entrepreneurially minded with creative thinking skills, solution-oriented.
- Exceptional verbal and written English communications skills, with strong presentation skills.
- Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced environment, managing several initiatives simultaneously.
- Proficient in fundraising platforms such as Artez, Classy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Canva.
- Substantial experience with Salesforce, Raiser's Edge or similar database management system.
- A competitive salary range of $75,000 to $85,000.
