Job Title: Senior Manager, Major Gifts and Planned Giving

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Major Gifts and Planned Giving to join our team at Rogers Communications. As a key member of our Philanthropy team, you will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and stewarding major gift donors to support our mission.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive major gifts strategy to achieve fundraising goals
  • Cultivate and steward relationships with major gift donors, including identifying and soliciting new donors
  • Work closely with the Director, Philanthropy to develop and implement a planned giving strategy
  • Manage a portfolio of planned giving donors and prospects, including developing and implementing strategies to increase giving
  • Collaborate with the Philanthropy team to develop and implement fundraising campaigns and events
  • Provide coaching and support to the Manager, Philanthropy on planned giving tactics and strategies
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in fundraising, with a focus on major gifts and planned giving
  • Proven track record of closing gifts at the $100k+ level
  • Strong experience in strategy development, implementation, and evaluation, and budget management
  • Ability to read/understand financial statements, do calculations, etc.
  • Comfort and ease in interpreting legal concepts/language
  • Exceptional relationship building skills with donors and cross functionally
  • Strong experience working with cross functional teams, multiple stakeholders, and a cross section of people from executive corporate leaders to custodians
