Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Business Development to join our team at VenorTalent. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for promoting the Public Service Superannuation Plan (PSSP) across Nova Scotia, building relationships with employers, and driving membership growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Promotion & Relationship Building: Act as a visible ambassador of the PSSP, building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders in the public sector and business community.
  • Employer Engagement & Assessment: Meet with employers, unions, and stakeholders to provide guidance on joining the Plan, including migrating existing defined benefit pensions or starting fresh in the PSSP.
  • Support & Representation: Attend meetings with municipal councils, corporate boards, and other key bodies to support employers in their decision-making process.
  • Marketing & Outreach: Identify opportunities for improving marketing materials and help develop new resources for prospective employers.
  • Public Speaking & Education: Represent PSSP at industry events and present at conferences to educate employers and stakeholders about the Plan's benefits.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in business or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business development and relationship management within financial services.
  • Strategic and critical thinking skills with the ability to use data and insights to drive business development efforts.
  • The ability to cultivate and manage relationships with potential partners, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Authentic communication skills to clearly articulate the value proposition to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and assess client requirements with the PSSP structure.
  • Natural collaboration skills to work internally and externally with various stakeholders.
