Medical Laboratory Assistant

As a Medical Laboratory Assistant at Nova Scotia Health Authority, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical labs and ensuring the highest quality patient care. Under the direction of management, you will work collaboratively with laboratory staff to perform a variety of functions related to specimen procurement, data entry, and laboratory procedures. Your strong communication skills and ability to work independently will be essential in this role, as you will interact with various stakeholders, including patients, healthcare providers, and laboratory staff.
About YouWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team. If you have a recognized Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a basic understanding of medical terminology, we encourage you to apply. Your ability to adapt to updates and changes in operating procedures, as well as your proficiency in basic computer skills, will be valuable assets in this role. Hours- Permanent, Full-Time Position; 75 Hours Bi-weekly
$23.19 - $26.27 Hourly
Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
