Emergency Medicine Physician Wanted in Yarmouth Regional Hospital

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine physician to provide locum coverage at Yarmouth Regional Hospital in Nova Scotia.
The successful candidate will be responsible for examining patients, ordering diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures, advising patients on healthcare, health promotion, and disease prevention, consulting and referring to other medical practitioners, acting as a patient advocate, and prescribing and administering medications and treatments.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care in the emergency department
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
- Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Care of the Critically Ill Surgical Patient (CCrISP) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
