Strategic HR Leader for Regional Teams

At Sienna Senior Living, we are seeking a skilled Strategic HR Leader to join our team and drive organizational success. Our company is one of Canada's largest owners and operators of seniors' living residences, with an additional 12 residences managed for third parties.
This leadership role is pivotal in driving people strategies, partnering with the Senior Leadership Team to align HR initiatives with business objectives while fostering a culture of collaboration, engagement, and growth.
The ideal candidate will bring 8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience in multi-site environments, including both unionized and non-unionized settings. They should have at least 3 years of leadership experience, managing and developing a team of HR professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the HR team to deliver consistent, high-quality HR services, ensuring alignment with the organization's HR and labour strategy.
- Build strong relationships with operational leaders, acting as a trusted advisor to the Senior Operations Leadership Team to align HR practices with business priorities.
- Deliver HR programs and initiatives through effective change management and communication strategies to ensure adoption and impact.
- Provide guidance and coaching to leaders on complex people-related matters, including performance management, team dynamics, and organizational effectiveness.
- Address and resolve team member concerns, oversee the administration of HR programs, and support leaders in fostering a positive workplace environment.
- Ensure consistent application of HR policies, standards, and processes, ensuring alignment with the organization's purpose, vision, and values.
- Develop and execute an annual HR operational plan aligned with the organization's business plan to address current and future talent needs.
- Partner with business leaders to implement strategies that enhance team member engagement, retention, and overall workplace culture.
Requirements:
- You have a university degree or college diploma, and a CHRL or CHRE designation (or equivalent) is preferred.
- You offer extensive experience providing strategic employment and labour-related advice, navigating complex legislative and employment matters across multiple provinces.
- Your program management skills are exceptional, and you thrive in multi-tasking environments.
- You have a track record of partnering with and influencing senior leaders, providing guidance on critical HR issues.
What We Offer:
- We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
