Job Summary

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for sales and technical support duties for customers or prospective customers. This includes coordinating sales meetings, communications, and correspondence with customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering principles and be able to communicate complex technical information to customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review customer requirements to determine the type of equipment, design, specifications, features, and special service requirements on which to base a total cost estimate.
  • Maintain estimating priorities and schedules.
  • Prepare material for sales presentations.
  • Participate in the Order Entry Process.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and prospects.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience in hydraulics or mechanical systems sales or engineering.
  • Knowledgeable with Personal Computer, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, database business software, and internet literacy.
  • Sales and marketing experience/exposure a plus.
  • Proficiency providing proposal drawings in Solidworks & AutoCAD.
Desired Qualifications
  • BS in Accounting, Business, or Finance preferred.
  • Epicor ERP knowledge a plus.
  • Foreign language skills a plus.
