Patient Service Specialist

We are seeking a Patient Service Specialist to provide support to the department of Food and Nutrition Services at Mackenzie Health.
Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate will assist in completing food service and sanitation tasks as assigned, including clean-up of patient/servicess dishes and Food Services equipment, food preparation for patients, and general departmental cleaning as required.
This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you must have:
- A current and valid Food Safety Proton Certificate from Public Health;
- An enrollment or completion of Food Service Worker program from an accredited institution;
- The physical capability to push loaded food carts, stand for prolonged periods, walk long distances, work in refrigerators and freezers, and lift heavy boxes;
- A strong command of the English Language;
- The ability to follow WHMIS, HACCP, FIFO procedures and guidelines;
Prior experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
BenefitsMackenzie Health offers a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
