Commercial Banking Agricultural Analyst Intern Co-op Winter 2025

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Commercial Banking team as an Agricultural Banking Client Growth and Management Professional. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional client service and support to our commercial banking clients.
Key Responsibilities- Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Analyze client data to identify insights on strategic and operational analytics.
- Assist the business unit with developing enhanced reporting and determining the components and scope of work required to satisfy requirements.
- Coordinate and centralize reporting and automate reporting to increase efficiency.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis when necessary to provide insight to various business issues/trends.
- Provide key performance indicator reporting and trending for success measurement.
- Support new initiatives by participating as a project resource and providing data requirements to help various stakeholders.
- Develop enhanced reporting and determining the components and scope of work required to satisfy requests.
- Build effective working relationships within the team and with various business lines.
- Participate and contribute to team meetings and actively share knowledge and experience to enhance the development of the team.
- Understand how the bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk, and conduct risk.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships with commercial business customers.
- Enrolled in an undergrad/post-secondary degree in Food and Agricultural Business, Economics, or similar field.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
- Prior experience in providing customer needs-based advice and solutions.
- Natural curiosity and passion for satisfying customer needs.
- Analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to use MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook effectively.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Presentation skills.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
