As an Abilities Case Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting employees with work-related and non-work-related disabilities. Your responsibilities will include case management, return-to-work coordination, and accommodation planning.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Case Management: Develop and implement individualized case management plans to support employees with disabilities.
  • Return to Work Planning: Collaborate with employees, managers, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement return-to-work plans.
  • Accommodation Planning: Coordinate temporary and permanent workplace accommodations to facilitate successful return to work.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Baccalaureate degree in nursing, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, or other health-related science discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum three years of experience in disability claims management, preferably in a unionized environment and healthcare setting.
  • Registration and Certification: Registration with relevant college and membership in relevant professional association preferred.
