About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Service Team Member to join our team at A&W. As a key member of our restaurant staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Prepare and serve food and beverages to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Operate kitchen equipment, such as dishwashers and food dispensers, to maintain a clean and safe environment.
    • Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure a smooth service.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and serving food and beverages.
    • Respond to customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Upsell and promote menu items to increase sales and revenue.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance
    • Maintain a clean and safe environment by cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, and work areas.
    • Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure a smooth service.
    • Report any maintenance or repair issues to management in a timely manner.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work effectively with other team members to ensure a smooth service and meet customer needs.
    • Communicate clearly and effectively with customers, management, and other team members.
    • Participate in training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Previous experience in food service or a related field an asset.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
    • Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
  • Availability and Flexibility
    • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
    • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
