Executive Chef

At MASK INDIAN KITCHEN + BAR INC., we are seeking a highly skilled Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kitchen management, with experience in estimating food costs, supervising staff, and creating new recipes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory, as well as supervising the activities of specialist chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers. They will also be responsible for instructing cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food, and for preparing and cooking complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets.
The Executive Chef will also be responsible for supervising cooks and other kitchen staff, preparing and cooking food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions, and for requisitioning food and kitchen supplies. They will also be responsible for arranging for equipment purchases and repairs, and for planning and directing food preparation and cooking activities of several restaurants.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kitchen management, with experience in supervising staff, estimating food costs, and creating new recipes. They will also be responsible for planning menus and ensuring food meets quality standards, recruiting and hiring staff, and training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
The Executive Chef will be responsible for leading and instructing individuals, and for supervising a team of 11-15 people. They will also be responsible for working a 40-hour week, with a permanent employment contract.
The successful candidate will be fluent in English, and will have a strong background in kitchen management. They will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality and safety, and for ensuring that all kitchen staff are trained and equipped to meet these standards.
