Solutions Architect Job Opportunity at Radio Canada International

We are seeking a skilled Solutions Architect to join our team at Radio Canada International. As a key member of our technical staff, you will play a crucial role in designing and evolving our OTT platform.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing scalable, high-performance, and reliable systems. You will review platform-related requests and/or specifications based on the platform's existing components, and recommend the best possible solutions to meet these requirements, using the most appropriate development technology while leveraging architected in-house frameworks and development standards.

Job Requirements
  • A degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • At least 6 years of development experience, with a proven track record as an architect and software designer
  • Expertise in integrating various software packages
  • Deep knowledge in designing solutions involving multi-platform clients - Browsers, Androids, iOS, SmartTVs, Media Players
  • Experience with cloud applications, services, and APIs provided by popular cloud providers – Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud
  • Proficiency with database development, including document-oriented databases
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills, with a keen sense for understanding the audience (both business and technical) and communicating at the right level of detail

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and designers, to ensure our platform meets business goals and user needs. You will guide technology choices through both product and software development lifecycles, including platforms' operations, keep their technology assets modern, document product architecture decisions, including diagrams, guidelines, and best practices, as well as maintaining that documentation, and design integration solutions with third-party services and platforms.

You will collaborate with product managers, and other stakeholders, to ensure we translate business requirements into the proper technical specifications. Because of your expertise, junior team members will look up to you for mentorship and guidance, which makes you a key player in fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
