Job Summary

The Government of Canada - Western seeks a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Human Resources and Organizational Development Executive to join our team. As a Senior Vice-President of Human Resources and Organizational Development, you will play a key role in shaping the organization's human resources and organizational development strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement organizational policies and programs to optimize human resources and organizational performance.
  • Authorize and establish major departments and senior staff positions to drive business growth and success.
  • Coordinate the work of regions, divisions, or departments to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Establish financial and administrative controls to ensure effective resource allocation and management.
  • Formulate and approve promotional campaigns to enhance the organization's reputation and brand.
  • Develop and implement human resources planning strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
  • Represent the organization in negotiations and official functions to promote its interests and reputation.
  • Select and develop middle managers, directors, and other executive staff to drive business success.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in human resources and organizational development, with a proven track record of success.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
