Sustainable Animal Production Systems Professor

About the Position
The University of Saskatchewan's College of Agriculture and Bioresources invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position in sustainable animal production systems. This is an exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplinary academic and research team with expertise in animal nutrition, metabolism, genomics, and animal welfare.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop an innovative, nationally- and internationally-recognized independent research program in sustainable animal production systems.
- Conduct research on feeding and resource management, nutrient cycling, and mitigation strategies to reduce environmental impacts of animal production systems.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in animal production systems, including ruminant and nonruminant species.
- Contribute to administrative roles within the Department, including serving on committees.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of researchers on sustainability-related projects.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in animal science or a closely related field.
- Experience in teaching, research, and industry engagement.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
