Digital Pedology and Pedometrics Professor

Job Summary
The University of Saskatchewan is seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor in Digital Pedology and Pedometrics to join our Department of Soil Science. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for teaching and research in the area of digital soil mapping, pedometrics, and geographic information systems (GIS).
Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in digital soil science, pedometrics, and GIS
- Conduct research in pedometrics, digital soil mapping, and GIS, with a focus on sustainable and digital agriculture
- Develop new undergraduate and graduate-level courses in pedometrics and digital soil mapping
- Contribute to the delivery of existing field courses in the RRM and SLSC programs
- Establish a research program in pedometrics and digital soil mapping, with a focus on attracting external funding
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Soil Science, Pedology, or a related field
- Previous post-secondary teaching experience
- Demonstrated ability to plan for complex research activities
- Eligibility for membership in the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists
What We Offer
- Competitive salary range: $99,945 to $120,099 (Assistant Professor) or $120,099 to $140,253 (Associate Professor)
