Job Summary

Mackenzie Health seeks a skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team in a dynamic diagnostic testing environment. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing routine bench work, interpreting diagnostic test results, and contributing to safe, quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine laboratory tests and procedures according to established methodologies and protocols.
  • Interpret test results and provide accurate, timely reporting to ensure optimum patient care.
  • Contribute to a safe, quality care environment by adhering to established policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of laboratory testing methodologies, equipment, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with laboratory team members to ensure efficient, effective testing and reporting processes.

Requirements:

  • Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) diploma from a recognized school of medical laboratory technology.
  • Successful completion of certification exams for general registration from the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS).
  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO).
  • Experience in core laboratory testing, including hematology, chemistry, and transfusion medicine.
