Job Title: Health Educator Specialist for First Nations and Metis Communities

Location: Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada

Salary Range: $36.518 - $44.655 per hour (Pay Band Health Educator - Staff)

About the Role:
As a Health Educator Specialist for First Nations and Metis communities, you will play a critical role in promoting health and wellness among patients from these backgrounds. Reporting to the Team Lead/Manager, your primary responsibilities will include developing health care plans that address the social, psychological, emotional, and physical needs of First Nations and Metis individuals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient education and support to promote healthy behaviors and self-management of chronic conditions.
- Offer counseling services to individuals, families, and groups to address mental health concerns and provide crisis management.
- Develop and implement interventions designed to promote health, support cultural/traditional practices, and address barriers to access healthcare.

Requirements:
- A recognized health degree (Social Work, Registered Nursing, M.A. Psychology) and registration with appropriate licensing body.
- Experience working with Indigenous populations, preferably in a clinical setting. Preference will be given to candidates who are fluent in an Indigenous language common to the region.
