Job Overview

The Community Mental Health Nurse Specialist plays a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive mental health services to individuals in need. This position is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and compassionate nurse to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients.

About the Role

This dynamic team member will provide complex screening, triage, assessment, treatment, and case coordination services to a community mental health and addictions population. Under the guidance of a Program Manager, they will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective intervention strategies.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide high-quality nursing care and support to clients with mental health and addiction concerns
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and community agencies to ensure seamless service delivery
- Participate in program evaluation and quality improvement initiatives

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Current registration as a Psychiatric Nurse in the Province of Saskatchewan (RPNAS)
- 2 years of recent clinical experience in a mental health setting
- Strong knowledge of community resources and mental health services
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Salary and Benefits

This full-time regular position offers a competitive salary range of $42,040 to $52,440 per year, based on the Pay Band Nurse B. In addition, the successful candidate can expect a comprehensive benefits package, including extended health and dental coverage, group life insurance, and pension plan participation.

- Basic computer/keyboard skills required
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
