Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Registered Practical Nurse to join our rapidly growing team at peopleCare Communities. This role will involve working under the direction of the Registered Nurse and reporting to the Director of Care while providing nursing and personal care to residents. The successful candidate will have experience in long-term care and a passion for working with seniors.

The estimated salary for this position is $75,000 - $95,000 per year, based on the location and industry standards. This figure may vary depending on the individual's level of experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide nursing and personal care to residents, including administering medications and treatments within the limitations set by the College of Nurses.
* Assist residents with daily routines and functions such as bathing, dressing, undressing, and eating meals as required.
* Review 24-72 hour reports at the beginning of each shift and follow physician orders as needed.
* Monitor resident conditions and report any changes to the Registered Nurse.

Requirements

* Current Medication Administration Certificate or equivalent
* Current certificate of competency from the College of Nurses of Ontario, in good standing
* Experience in long-term care considered an asset
* Registered with a regulatory body
* Strong written and oral communication, critical thinking, care coordination, time management, and customer focus skills
