We are seeking a highly skilled Wound Care Specialist to join our team at RhynoCare Staffing Solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse with advanced knowledge and clinical skills in wound, ostomy, and continence care.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive wound assessments for residents in long-term care settings.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care for optimal wound management.
  • Serve as a valuable resource for other staff members, physicians, and agency personnel.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Provide educational support to patients on various aspects of wound care, skin issues, fistulas, and ostomies.
  • Demonstrate expertise in specialty dressings and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Completed the University of Toronto International Interprofessional Wound Care Course or equivalent.
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Membership with the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario preferred.
  • Membership with Wounds Canada required.
  • Certification of Wound, Ostomy & Continence through the Canadian Nurses Association preferred.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Awareness of relevant legislation and standards affecting nursing practice in long-term care.
Estimated Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 per year
