Nursing Care Professional, Long-Term Care Setting

We are excited to offer a rewarding career opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at peopleCare Communities.
About the Role:
This position is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting. As a member of our nursing team, you will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse and report to the Director of Care/Director of Nursing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized care to residents based on their assessed needs and preferences;
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities in an assigned unit as required;
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement resident care plans;
- Monitor residents' health status and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate staff members;
- Participate in quality assurance activities and contribute to performance assessments of non-registered nursing staff;
- Ensure compliance with legislative standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements;
- Utilize Point Click Care to access relevant information and report incidents or hazards promptly;
- Provide guidance and leadership to subordinate staff members as needed.
Requirements:
- Registration with a regulatory body;
- Experience working with seniors and unregulated care providers;
- Strong written and oral communication, critical thinking, care coordination, time management, and customer focus skills;
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide support to colleagues when needed;
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and computer systems.

Salary Range:
$55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
