About the Role:

The Director of Talent and Culture is a senior leadership position responsible for leading the Human Resources function for Federated Co-operatives Limited. This role requires a strategic thinker who can develop and implement HR strategies, programs, and initiatives that align with the organization's goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies, programs, and initiatives that support business objectives
  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute HR and talent management strategies
  • Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations
  • Design and implement competitive compensation and benefits programs
  • Develop and implement talent and culture strategies and programs
  • Collaborate with senior management to align HR strategies with business goals
  • Foster a vibrant organizational culture that upholds the company's values, vision, and mission

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce, or HR-related discipline
  • 10+ years of relevant progressively responsible experience in Human Resources
  • 6+ years of Human Resources leadership experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • 2+ years' HR generalist experience partnering directly with senior leadership to develop, align, and implement HR and organizational development strategies
  • Current working knowledge of legislation, labor, and employment law, human rights legislation, and related areas
  • Strong understanding of talent management and organizational development
  • Strong business acumen, including well-balanced strategic and tactical agility with the ability to provide thoughtful, progressive, and strategic guidance
  • Exceptional communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to drive change and innovation in workplace culture
  • Exceptional organizational skills, including managing time, multiple tasks, and accurate documentation

The HR team at Federated Co-operatives Limited strives to cultivate a culture of collaboration, business partnering, efficiency, and driving results. The team provides guidance and support to the entire organization on strategic Human Resources issues, including recruitment, retention, onboarding, employee relations, labor relations, discipline, and administration of policies and collective agreements.
