About the Role:
The Director of Talent and Culture will lead the Talent and Culture administration function for South Country Co-op, implementing Human Resources strategies, programs, and initiatives. This position will collaborate with the leadership team to ensure consistent alignment of Human Resources programs and practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Human Resources principles, practices, and procedures.
- Partner with Senior Leadership Team to develop and execute HR and Talent Management strategies.
- Oversee talent acquisition and onboarding processes.
- Manage performance management and employee relations.
- Design and implement competitive compensation and benefits programs.
- Develop and implement talent and culture strategies and programs.
- Collaborate with senior management to align HR strategies with business goals.
- Foster a vibrant organizational culture that upholds the company's values, vision, and mission.
Requirements:
- Possess an undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce, or HR-related discipline.
- 10+ years of relevant progressively responsible experience in Human Resources.
- 6+ years of Human Resources leadership experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.
- 2+ years of HR generalist experience partnering directly with senior leadership to develop, align, and implement HR and organizational development strategies.
- Current working knowledge of legislation, labor, and employment law, human rights legislation, and related areas.
- Strong understanding of talent management and organizational development.
- Strong business acumen, including well-balanced strategic and tactical agility with the ability to provide thoughtful, progressive, and strategic guidance.
- Exceptional communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to drive change and innovation in workplace culture.
- Exceptional organizational skills, including managing time, multiple tasks, unquestionable business ethics, and accurate documentation.

The HR team at South Country Co-op strives to cultivate a culture of collaboration, business partnering, efficiency, and driving results. The team provides guidance and support to the entire organization on strategic Human Resources issues, including recruitment, retention, onboarding, employee relations, labor relations, discipline, and administration of policies and collective agreements.
