The Sales Development Program at EMCO Corporation is a comprehensive, full-time entry-level position designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in a dynamic business environment. As a Sales Development Trainee, you will embark on a 5-phased journey to learn every aspect of our business, from shipping and receiving to sales, operations, purchasing, and account management.

Phase 1: Warehouse Logistics

  • Gain a deep understanding of our products, from vendor to customer, and develop expertise in sales support.

Phase 2: Counter Sales

  • Immerse yourself in customer service, counter sales, order management, inventory control, pricing, credit management, and financial statements.

Phase 3: Inside Sales

  • Develop the skills to process orders from start to finish, including providing timely quotes, account management, sourcing materials, ensuring delivery, and follow-up.

Phase 4: Outside Sales/Account Management

  • Learn to identify new business opportunities, sell our products, negotiate contracts, and build strong relationships with customers and vendors.

Phase 5: Career Path

  • Determine your ideal career path and take the skills and knowledge you've acquired to excel in your chosen role.

Qualifications

  • College or university degree
  • Positive attitude and results-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work well in a support and team-based environment with minimal supervision
  • Sales background and experience preferred
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills
  • Desire to develop, learn, and grow
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
