Responsibilities:Portion Control: Determine the ideal size of food portions and costs for our menu items.Menu Planning: Plan and estimate food requirements for our menu items and special requests.Supply Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies as needed.Allergy Management: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.Training: Train staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling techniques.Supply Ordering: Order supplies and equipment as needed.Team Supervision: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient operations.Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.Cleaning: Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.Staff Management: Recruit and hire staff to support our kitchen operations.Operations Management: Manage kitchen operations to ensure efficient and effective service.Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:Attention to Detail: Maintain attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations.Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and deadlines.Overtime: Be available to work overtime as needed to support kitchen operations.Repetitive Tasks: Perform repetitive tasks with efficiency and attention to detail.Work Under Pressure: Work under pressure to meet deadlines and ensure efficient operations.Personal Suitability:Client Focus: Maintain a client-focused approach in all aspects of kitchen operations.Dependability: Be dependable and reliable in all aspects of kitchen operations.Communication: Excellent oral communication skills are required to effectively communicate with staff and customers.Flexibility: Be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced kitchen environment.Initiative: Take initiative to improve kitchen operations and implement new processes.Judgement: Use sound judgement to make decisions in a fast-paced kitchen environment.Organized: Maintain an organized and clean workspace to ensure efficient operations.Reliability: Be reliable and dependable in all aspects of kitchen operations.Team Player: Work effectively as a team player to support kitchen operations.Time Management: Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and ensure efficient operations.Work Term: This is a permanent position.Work Language: English is the primary language spoken in the kitchen.Hours: 30 hours per week.
