Job Title: Human Resources Generalist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team at SUSHI JET ASIAN CUISINE. In this role, you will be responsible for administering staff consultation and grievance procedures, identifying current and prospective staffing requirements, and providing information or services such as employee assistance and counseling.

About the Role:
  • This is a permanent position requiring 30-35 hours of work per week.
  • The ideal candidate should have 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role.

In terms of education, we require a College/CEGEP degree. Additionally, proficiency in MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Word is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Administer staff consultation and grievance procedures.
  2. Identify current and prospective staffing requirements.
  3. Provide information or services such as employee assistance and counseling.
  4. Prepare and post notices and advertisements.
  5. Collect and screen applicants.
  6. Advise job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment.
  7. Review candidate inventories.
  8. Contact potential applicants to arrange interviews.
  9. Notify applicants of results of selection process and prepare job offers.
  10. Advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures.
  11. Negotiate settlements of appeals and disputes and co-ordinate termination of employment process.
  12. Supervise personnel clerks performing filing, typing and record-keeping duties.
  13. Recruit and hire staff.

Benefits:

This is a permanent position offering an estimated salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will also receive comprehensive benefits, including health insurance and retirement savings plan.
