Hotel Receptionist with Guest Service Expertise

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Hotel Receptionist to join our team at Ramada by Wyndham Whitecourt. As the first point of contact for guests, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process, and maintaining a clean and welcoming lobby area.
About the Role- Responsibilities:
- Guest Registration: Register arriving guests, assign rooms, and manage room assignments in an efficient manner.
- Front Desk Operations: Process group arrivals and departures, take, cancel, and change room reservations, and provide information on hotel facilities and services.
- Clerical Duties: Perform various clerical tasks, such as faxing, filing, photocopying, answering telephones, and relaying messages.
- Customer Service: Provide general information about points of interest in the area, assist clients/guests with special needs, and ensure excellent customer satisfaction.
- Maintaining Accurate Records: Maintain accurate records of guest stay history, including arrival and departure dates, room assignments, and any incidentals or charges.
- Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is necessary.
- Work Setting: This role is based in a fast-paced hotel environment, working closely with colleagues to provide exceptional service to our guests.
- Language: Fluency in English is required, with a strong focus on providing excellent communication skills to our diverse clientele.
- Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Environment: Our hotel operates 24/7, requiring employees to adapt to a dynamic environment.
The estimated annual salary for this role is $43,500 - $53,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a permanent position with opportunities for growth and professional development within our company.
