Job Summary
The Children's Aid Society of the District of Thunder Bay is seeking an experienced Administrative Support Specialist to join their team. In this role, you will provide administrative and clerical support to various department managers and frontline staff.
About the Role
This full-time contract position, up to 15 months in duration, requires a strong administrative background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and clerical support to various department managers and frontline staff
- Assist with tasks such as word processing, data entry, and maintaining multiple calendars
- Develop effective systems to improve efficiency and manage data
- Travel to the district as required to attend meetings and perform job duties
- Maintain confidentiality and use sound judgment when addressing sensitive issues
Requirements and Qualifications
- Completion of a business or commercial diploma or certificate from an accredited college or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Candidates without the specific educational qualifications, but who possess an appropriate combination of child welfare/social services experience and other academic qualifications will also be considered
- Intermediate skill level and extensive experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated experience utilizing various computer software programs
- Excellent organizational, coordination and time management skills to determine priorities, meet strict timelines and manage several assignments simultaneously
Benefits and Salary
This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary range of $55,000 to $65,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
