Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Unconventional Geoscientist to join our team at LHR Americas.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk and resource evaluation, ranking, and strategic planning for advancing unconventional exploration and appraisal programs to full-field development projects.

About the Role

This is a key role within our Unconventional Resource Assessment and Data Solution Division (URADSD), working closely with the Exploration & Characterization Divisions to support planning and execution of wells.

Key Responsibilities
  • Geological technical assessments of resource plays to ensure productivity.
  • Risk assessments to identify gaps in knowledge and quantify COS.
  • Strategic planning and monitoring to ensure the best plays are being de-risked and targets are being met.
  • Effective communication through presentations and written reports to technical peers and management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geophysics or related sciences.
  • 15 years of experience, with at least 5-10 years in unconventional plays, including shale or tight gas exploration, development, or strategic planning, across multiple unconventional hydrocarbon basins.
  • A solid background in the play-based approach to evaluate tight sand and shale plays, evaluation of risk, and resource assessment within unconventional.
Benefits
  • Estimated monthly base salary: $12,500 - $20,000.
  • Monthly over base: 25% of your monthly base salary.
  • Benefits Supplement: 20% of your monthly base salary after 3 years of service, increasing to 25% after 6 years and 30% after 12 years.
  • Severance Package: 2 weeks' pay for each year of service after 2-5 years, increasing to 4 weeks' pay for each year after 6 years.
  • Employment Tax: Compliant with Saudi Arabia tax laws.
  • Vacation & Paid Holidays: 38 vacation days, 4 travel days, and 11-13 paid holidays.
  • Medical/Dental Plan: Complimentary in-Kingdom medical care and facilities.
  • Educational Assistance Plan (EAP): 90% of expenses with a maximum per child, lesser of 5x monthly base salary or company max.
