About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Geoscientist to join our team at LHR Américas, where energy is the opportunity. This is a unique chance to leverage your expertise in risk and resource evaluation, ranking, and strategic planning to advance unconventional exploration and appraisal programs to full-field development projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the unconventional portfolio through technical, risk, resource, and commerciality assessments and strategic plans to support the de-risking of unconventional fields from exploration to development.
  • Conduct geological technical assessments of resource plays to ensure productivity, and perform risk assessments to identify gaps in knowledge and quantify COS.
  • Develop strategic plans and monitor progress to ensure the best plays are being de-risked and targets are being met.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geophysics or related sciences.
  • 15 years of experience, with at least 5-10 years in unconventional plays, including shale or tight gas exploration, development, or strategic planning, across multiple unconventional hydrocarbon basins.
  • A solid background in the play-based approach to evaluate tight sand and shale plays, evaluation of risk, and resource assessment within unconventional.
  • Experience integrating basic reservoir engineering and geology to tight and source rock reservoirs, preferred.
About the Benefits
  • Monthly Base Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, aligned with company employees with similar skills.
  • Monthly Overtime: 25% of monthly base salary.
  • Benefits Supplement: 20% of monthly base salary after 3 years of service, increasing to 25% after 6 years, and 30% after 12 years.
  • Severance Package: 2 weeks' pay for each year of service after 2 years, increasing to 4 weeks' pay after 6 years.
  • Vacation & Paid Holidays: 38 vacation days, 4 travel days, and 11-13 paid holidays per year.
  • Medical/Dental Plan: Complimentary in-Kingdom medical care and facilities for employees and eligible family members, with subsidized in-Kingdom dental services.
  • Educational Assistance Plan (EAP): 90% of expenses reimbursed with a maximum of $48,000 per child for undergraduate college-age children, and 60% of monthly base salary for single/bachelor status.
