Risk Management Investigator

We are seeking an experienced and licensed Risk Management Investigator to join our team at AFIMAC Canada. As a key member of our investigative unit, you will be responsible for conducting thorough open-source intelligence inquiries on individuals and corporations to enhance due diligence, litigation, and security matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Research: Utilize your analytical skills to review documentary and electronic information efficiently, identifying patterns, connections, risks, and relevant details.
  • Support Senior Investigators: Collaborate with senior investigators and analysts in the conduct of their investigative activities, providing valuable support and expertise.
  • Prepare Reports: Develop high-quality written reports following our standardized reporting methodology, ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation of findings.
  • Social Media Monitoring: Conduct social media monitoring to identify risks, threats, and content relevant to our clients' needs.

Requirements:

  • Strong Analytical Skills: Possess excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem-Solving Expertise: Demonstrate creative problem-solving skills, with a passion for finding innovative solutions to complex issues.
  • Research Experience: Have experience researching, analyzing, and synthesizing data from various online and offline sources, including social media, apps, public record databases, search engines, etc.
  • Technical Skills: Be comfortable working with standard office software, analytical tools like Excel, social-media databases, and deep web databases.
  • Security Clearance: Currently hold, or would qualify for, a security clearance with the Government of Canada and provincial governments.
  • Licenses and Qualifications: Hold an Ontario Private Investigator's license and have a university degree in business, law, political science, criminology, or a similar field. College diplomas and relevant work experience will also be considered.

About the Role
