Global Unconventional Resource Geologist

LHR Américas is seeking a seasoned geoscientist to join their Unconventional Resource Assessment and Data Solution Division (URADSD). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in risk and resource evaluation, ranking, and strategic planning for advancing unconventional exploration and appraisal programs to full-field development projects.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will work closely with the Exploration & Characterization Divisions to support planning and execution of wells. Key responsibilities include geological technical assessments of resource plays to ensure productivity, risk assessments to identify gaps in knowledge and quantify COS, and strategic planning and monitoring to ensure the best plays are being de-risked and targets are being met.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geophysics or related sciences;
- 15 years of experience, with at least 5-10 years in unconventional plays, including shale or tight gas exploration, development, or strategic planning, across multiple unconventional hydrocarbon basins;
- A solid background in the play-based approach to evaluate tight sand and shale plays, evaluation of risk, and resource assessment within unconventional;
- Experience in managing and de-risking a portfolio of tight sand or shale opportunities from exploration through development;
- Experience integrating basic reservoir engineering and geology to tight and source rock reservoirs, is preferred;
- Experience working with the production and drilling departments on well performance and optimization, is preferred;
- Experience working with reservoir engineering teams on economics of unconventional field development plans, is preferred;
- Estimated Monthly Salary: $12,500 - $17,000
- Monthly Over base – 25% of your monthly base salary;
- Benefits Supplement – 20% of your monthly base salary, after 3 years of service, reward increases to 25% of base, after 6 years 30% of base, and after 12 years 35% of base;
- Severance Package (2-year vest period) – year 2 to 5: 2 week's pay for each year of service, Year 6+: 4 week's pay for each year after;
- Vacation & Paid Holidays – 38 vacation days / 4 travel days / 11-13 paid holidays;
- Medical/Dental Plan – complimentary in-Kingdom Johns Hopkins medical care/facilities for employees and eligible family members. In-Kingdom dental services subsidized;
- Educational Assistance Plan (EAP) – Out of Kingdom Assistance: 90% of expenses with a maximum per child, lesser of 5x monthly base salary or the company max ($48.undergraduate college-age children get 2 round-trip economy air travel tickets; Single/Bachelor Status – 60% of monthly base salary;
