Senior Manager, Payments Operations

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Payments to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our payments team, you will be responsible for contributing to the overall success of our Day to Day Banking Payments in Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Responsible for contributing to a clear payments product vision, securing funding through approved business cases, ensuring enterprise alignment, and prioritization of the payments roadmap and executing these roadmap initiatives.
- Accountable for innovation, delivering short and long-term solutions that are prioritized on the Payments Roadmap and drive a differentiated market position for Scotiabank.
- Manage analysis, prioritization, and implementation of all applicable vendors (Visa, Interac) and Payment Modernization mandates.
- Manage payment products key metrics and fee-based revenue plan, build test and learn approach to generate maximum return on investment for products and feature enhancements.
- Understand fraud-related risks and work with partners to close gaps without creating friction within the customer payments journey.
Requirements
- Ideal candidate will bring 5+ years' experience in payments, preferably in a Product Management role with experience leading cross-functional teams to bring innovative payments products to market.
- Natural collaborator with an ability to be a self-starter and work independently must be disciplined and comfortable with ambiguity, possessing the maturity and capability to interact and influence.
- A pattern of delivering results: maintain exacting standards for individual, team, and organizational accomplishments; steadfastly work to define and meet or exceed goals; derive satisfaction from goal achievement and continuous improvement.
- Ability to influence cross-functional partners (both internal and external i.e. vendors), business case, market research, and a strong ability to synthesize recommendations/analyses for an executive audience.
- Strong experience with MS Office: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Technical background a plus.
