Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Claims Resolution Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for resolving property claims in a timely and professional manner. You will work closely with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure that claims are processed correctly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Accepting notice of claim and working with the customer and preferred Vendors to resolve the claim quickly and efficiently
- Confirming policy coverage by ensuring the facts of the claim fall within the scope of the policy
- Maintaining detailed file records by entering pertinent data into the appropriate systems
- Processing claims payments within level of authority after verifying claimant's entitlement
- Initiating salvage and subrogation procedures on assigned files
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A university degree in any discipline or a college diploma in one of the following programs: 2-year diploma from a provincially recognized and funded community college in Insurance, Law & Security, Loss Control, Business Administration or the CIP designation
- 5-8 years property experience
- Licensed in New Brunswick, PEI and Newfoundland would be an asset
- Experience of Commercial Lines policies would be an asset
- Familiarity with CICS and CDS system
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel
- Bilingual capabilities (French and English) would be an asset
- Professional, friendly and courteous in all interactions, whether with customers or co-workers
- Able to perform well in a busy operation and remain calm under pressure
- Team player adaptable to a changing environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
