Zurich Canada is currently looking for a Claims Quality Assurance Specialist.

Reporting to the Head of Claims Performance and Delivery, you will develop and execute key quality review processes linked to business outcomes to influence and facilitate organizational quality improvement strategies.

What you will do

1. Review claims to identify and measure leakage and compliance issues.
2. Develop solutions for improvement areas to enhance claims handling.
3. Translate solutions into economic value for the company.
4. Liaise with senior managers to keep stakeholders informed of important issues.
5. Conduct periodic reviews to ensure quality assurance aligns with business strategies and best practices.
6. Manage professional auditors.
7. Facilitate organizational quality improvement strategies.
8. Conduct technical best practice reviews.
9. Ensure closed files comply with industry standards.
10. Work towards personal and business objectives, supporting key goals: Financial Effectiveness, Operational Efficiency, Customer Satisfaction, Compliance, Personal/Professional Development.
11. Prepare draft manuals to reflect updated policies and procedures.
12. Research and analyze data to inform policy and product development.
13. Support senior management in improving processes and systems.
14. Provide specialist advice and solutions for technical queries.
15. Model corporate values and contribute to performance management discussions.
16. Educate and support team members.
17. Manage personal development and encourage others to do the same.

Job Qualifications - What you bring to the table

1. Bachelor's Degree and 5 or more years of experience in Technical Claims, Claims, or other Insurance areas OR
2. Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree with 5 or more years of experience in Technical Claims, Claims, or other Insurance areas OR
3. High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in Technical Claims, Claims, or other Insurance areas AND
4. Knowledge of business and compliance practices in the insurance industry

Preferred:

1. Microsoft Office experience
2. Strong communication and negotiation skills
3. Effective conflict resolution, presentation, and project management skills
