Job Overview:

Definity Financial Corporation is seeking an experienced Property Claims Resolution Expert to investigate, evaluate, and resolve complex property losses from start to finish. This role requires strong organizational, negotiation, analytical, and interpersonal skills to ensure timely and fair resolution of claims.

Salary Range:
$58,100 - $106,900

About the Role:

This Commercial Property Adjuster Specialist will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and resolving large or complex property losses, including losses of a suspicious nature. Key responsibilities include confirming policy coverage, maintaining detailed file records, involving vendors as necessary, and processing claims payments within authorized limits. The successful candidate will also identify subrogation and salvage opportunities, train junior adjusters, and handle other claims assignments as required.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 10+ years of experience handling commercial and personal property claims, with demonstrated progression and competence on large, complex claims;
- Strong understanding of personal and commercial wordings;
- University degree from any discipline or a college diploma within a relevant discipline from a minimum two-year program at a provincially recognized and funded community college and/or the CIP/FCIP designation;
- Atlantic Licensing is an asset;
