Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reservations Manager to join our team at Sun Peaks Grand Hotel & Conference Centre. As a key member of our hotel revenue generation team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functions of our in-house reservations team, ensuring seamless guest experiences and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reservations Management
    • Develop and implement strategies to optimize reservations revenue and occupancy levels.
    • Monitor and analyze reservations data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure accurate rooming list data and group reservations.
  • Guest Experience
    • Oversee the management of guest inquiries and concerns related to reservations.
    • Ensure prompt and professional communication with guests to resolve issues and provide exceptional service.
    • Work closely with the front office team to ensure seamless guest check-in and check-out processes.
  • Departmental Execution & Excellence
    • Monitor and maintain compliance with reservation call quality standards.
    • Oversee the accurate operation of the reservation system, including room inventory and reservations management.
    • Communicate significant changes in daily arrivals and 10-day out forecasted occupancies to the operations team for schedule planning.
  • Training & Development
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of reservations team members.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and feedback to team members.
    • Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to address gaps in knowledge and skills.
  • Team Commitment & Collaboration
    • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting open communication and mutual respect.
    • Encourage team members to share ideas and suggestions for improving guest experiences and revenue growth.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with other departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in reservations or front office management, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Post-secondary education in hospitality or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in hotel reservation systems, third-party online platforms, and policy audits.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to supervise, mentor, and train a team.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to drive revenue growth and improve guest experiences.
